NBA Baseline Cameramen…Should They Stay or Should They Go?
Last night, the young and promising Ja Morant with the Memphis Grizzlies fell awkwardly during a game against the Indiana Pacers. He made contact with a cameraman when he fell. Fortunately, Ja was able to return to the game later on, but this isn’t the first time a player have had issues with colliding with the cameramen.
Not too long ago during the 2015 NBA Finals, LeBron fell into a cameraman and needed stitches in his head. Earlier this season, Fred Van Vleet collided with a cameraman in his season debut and injured his ankle.
It’s clear there’s been a challenge with making sure athletes don’t get seriously hurt and getting the proper camera angles for efficient and effective views. I’d love to hear what our audience thinks about this and find a solution that works for all sides.
