NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be out for the season, the team announced Monday.
“Roethlisberger had an MRI on his right elbow Sunday evening and it was determined by the Steelers’ medical team that surgery will be required, coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement. “We expect the surgery will be scheduled for this week. He will be placed on our Reserve/Injured List and is out for the season.”
According to Ian Rapoport: “Saints QB Drew Brees has a torn ligament in his throwing thumb and he’s going to require surgery, sources say. The timeframe depends on the surgery, but he’s likely out 6 weeks. That’s the initial estimate.”
NFL quarterbacks are dropping like flies. 2 in week 2, who’s next? I don’t wish any bad juju on anyone but if this trend keeps up it might actually kill the NFL. Who wants to see the Patriots put up 40 on every team they play until February? Not me that’s for sure. Wishing all the best to all fantasy football teams affected.
