NHL Trade Deadline Recap

It’s the NHL trade deadline today! Let’s take a look at some of the trades that happened today.

-Blue Jackets acquire Adam McQuaid from the Rangers

-Avalanche acquire Derick Brassard from the Panthers

-Canadiens acquire Jordan Weal from the Coyotes for Michael Chaput

-Kevin Hayes has been traded to the Winnipeg Jets

-Devils trade Keith Kinkaid to the Blue Jackets

-Ducks have traded Michael Del Zotto to the St. Louis Blues.

After all of this the Columbus Blue Jackets only have a 3rd-round pick and Calgary’s 7th round pick in June’s draft. One of the strangest things to come from all of the trades today is that Derrick Brassard was going to play for Florida tonight against Colorado. He will now be playing for Colorado tonight against Florida. If I were him I’d be passing the puck to the wrong team all night. I say goodbye to another Rangers fan favorite today as well, Kevin Hayes thank you blog will come later today. I think the Rangers made the right choice by trading him away for Brendan Lemieux and a conditional fourth round pick in the 2022 NHL draft.

FOURNZ: We got some more big news coming in as the 3:00pm EST deadline time has come upon us. Couple more trades to follow up from B-Minus’s first report. Columbus is all in!

-Simmonds to Nashville

-Granlund to Nashville / Fiala to Minnesota

-Stone to Vegas! Brannstrom to Ottawa

-Johansson to Boston

-Gudbranson to Pitt / Pearson to Vancouver

-Beaulieu to Winnipeg

Now let’s finish up this season!
